Why Flora&Zephyr? You may ask.
Let me tell you that - since ever - my attention and my admiration have been captured by the endless beauty of the flower world, in its entire sensory richness. I never seem to have enough (to the point that I end up with thousands of pictures in my iPhone of - basically - two subjects, my lovely daughters and any flower I come across). I need to have fresh flowers around me at all times .... and I even like to eat them, candied violets are my favourite, yummy!

One of the main reasons why I started painting in watercolours was that it was the best pictorial mean to convey the beauty of flowers and I helplessly fell in love with it. My adorable little ones inspired me to paint children illustrations: the process fills me with tenderness and lights up my days.

Needless to say that when I was looking for some nice stationery items as well as kids bedroom decorations, and couldn't find anything that I really liked, I decided to make my own, having my designs professionally printed.

At this point it is clear why I chose Flora, but what about Zephyr? I love light and wind, and I feel good if I am surrounded by a well lit and airy environment. Who doesn't? Moreover, as I am in love with Percy Bysshe Shelley's Ode to the West Wind (Zephyr) there was no better name for my blog and for my stationery line. Mystery solved.
